My 2nd day spent around Palace square, and State Hermitage Museum. From Gostinidsha dvor subway,it took me 10 minutes walking distance to reach Palace square.Palace Square is considered to be the city’s main square and serves as an excellent example of how different architectural styles can be combined in a most elaborate way.
The centre of Palace square.
Across the square, on the southern side, stands the classical yellow-and-white building of the former Imperial Army General Staff. The building encircles the Southern side of the square and combines a central arch.
The centre arch snapped outside palace square.
On north side of the square, stands the picturesque Baroque Winter Palace, which is part of State Hermitage.
Inside Hermitage museum will be written in next post.I’m too lazy to note down more,,,
